Public Speaking Text (Nick Vujicic)

Assalamualaikum and a very good morning I bid to our beloved teacher, Miss Nabira Mansor and my fellow friends. Today, I’m ~~~ standing here to become somebody that can inspire my precious friends with my simple speech, SIMPLY INSPIRING.

Have you ever thought about seeing yourself in the mirror and realizing that there are no arms on you ? or have you had to face the fact that you can’t walk because you have no legs? And what would you do if you didn’t have either arms or legs? Will you still praise God for being who you are? If you are wondering wht kind of hero that I’m going to tell you about, be prepared, because you will be amazed.

This is Nick Vujicic, the person whom I admired the most. How many of you know this man? Nick Vujicic was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1982. Without any medical explanation or warning, he came to the world without limbs. However, behind these unfortunate, he was grown up as a person who is able to inspire and motivate people from all walks of life.

He did have ups and downs, throughout his childhood, Nick struggled with depression and loneliness. He constantly wondered why he was different from the other kids. He questioned the purpose of life, or if he even had a purpose.

But suddenly, a unique talent appeared from him that had never been realized by his family or Nick himself before. His attitude, behavior and his words could easily influence people, turn on the spirit, and rise people self’s confidence. He became a motivational speaker and traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions people. Nick really wanted to be an inspiration for other people so that we could live happily and not let life’s challenges block our hopes and dreams.

He inspires me with his way of life. So , I want to share his strength th changes my point of view of life. He can face all his problems by a positive ways. For example, like he said in his book, Life Without Limits that being different might actually get him to contribute something special to the world. He didn’t complain or self-pity all the time. I mean, he used to to complain but finally he realize that God create him for one reason. So he stops complaining and lives he lifes to the fullest.
For me, that kind of thought is very amazing for a person like him. To be honest, sometimes I try to be someone else so I can be accepted by others. But now, I know, I am unique in my own way.

Ladies and gentleman,
His weakness makes me more appreciate my life.  At age 13, he hurt his foot, which he uses for many things like typing, writing and swimming. That injury make him realize that he need to be more thankful for his abilities and less focused on his disabilities. He still can be grateful for his life right? And for us, when we look at mirror, we could see a person who has arms and legs but sometimes we feel it’s hard to be grateful sometimes. How come a person who has very limited physical condition like him can be more grateful than we are? So, we should have to thankful for the way we are.
He is hero by makes so many good examples of how to value life. He once said, “ You should continue to fight, continue to grow, continue to give what you can give so that, in the end, you can look back and say, I’ve done the best.

And also, one of my favorite quote from Nick Vujicic is in this video. So, let’s watch together.
Are you going to finish strong? Friends, it doesn’t matter what problems we have,  we can find the strength to  get up and choose to an optimist. Watching this video really touched my heart because I realized how mny times I felt discouraged for little things and he has no arms and no legs has a life which is full of hope and light.

And now, he has been married with a wonderful woman andjust had a children. I mean this is awesome, he showed the world that nothing in life can stop a person who has hope in life and who has strength to fight.

So, whoever you are, wherever you’re from and whatever you are dealing with, I hope that you will be inspired by his story and his message. Dream big my friend and never give up. We all make mistakes, but none of us are mistakes. Take one day at a time. Embrace the positive attitudes, perspectives and principles then you will be able to overcome your problem.

Last but not least, never quit. Believe me, there’s always a  silver lining. That’s all from me, thank you for lending me your attention. Assalamualaikum.

p:s// i'm going to present it tomorrow. wish me luck kayy :)
